Thugagotchi
A tiny gorilla in shades that lives on an ESP32-S3 screen, tracking Claude Code and Codex sessions in real time — then turns into a needy desk pet the moment you stop coding.
Thugagotchi mirrors whatever CLI agent is running — Claude Code or Codex — on a small ESP32-S3 display: tokens, elapsed time, tool calls, context remaining and cost, with an expression and RGB LED that track what the agent is doing, no API keys or special launch command required. Thirty minutes without activity, or no tracked session at all, flips it into pet mode: gorilla on one side, a demanding speech bubble on the other, cycling through hunger, boredom and the occasional 'OOK!' until it is fed or petted, or coding starts again. A BOOT-button tap cycles brightness; a longer hold rotates the display. Flashes over USB with a Makefile, installs the Claude/Codex hooks and a background bridge service, and keeps running as a standalone desk toy on USB power alone.
