THUGS(red) RF
A native Linux terminal workbench for HackRF and RTL-SDR: spectrum and waterfall views, wideband survey, modular protocol decoders, frequency OSINT and AM/FM listening, all from one full-colour TUI.
THUGS(red) RF turns a terminal into a signal-intelligence bench for HackRF and RTL-SDR hardware: a braille spectrum display and colour waterfall, a sequential wideband survey sweeping 1 MHz to 6 GHz with peak hold, pulse-timing extraction, a live decoder console for modular protocol addons, and an editable VHF/UHF channel directory with CTCSS and explicitly confirmed finite transmission. A frequency-OSINT panel imports Danish allocation tables or CSV lists and looks up whatever is tuned, alongside AM/FM/SW listening with live RDS. Investigations — spectrum captures, detections, decoder output — persist to a local SQLite history. Reception runs threaded off the UI, the TUI never transmits on launch, and any transmit command needs an explicit confirmation flag. Pure Rust, ships as a Debian package for Debian 13 / Ubuntu 24.04+, MIT licensed.
