Signal / City
A traffic-engineering game: program the signal cycle for one intersection, run a trial, and clear a hundred vehicles before it gridlocks.
A small love letter to the invisible systems that keep a city moving. You are the engineer behind the signal cabinet: program five protected phases — through and left-turn for each axis plus an exclusive pedestrian walk — set green, amber and all-red timings, then run a traffic trial and learn from the queues. Cars, vans, trucks, buses, motorbikes and bicycles each move at their own pace, and weather, roadworks, rising demand and randomly generated road layouts keep a strategy honest. A city budget buys smarter hardware — vehicle detection with gap-out and empty-phase skipping, on-demand walk phases, bus priority, adaptive green time. Hand-drawn canvas streets, a scoreboard, and progress kept in the city database.
